When I try to send something through the fax to both the same machine or another fax machine, it keeps dialing til it pauses. it never sends it.
Any idea why?
Also, where can I find a thorough explanation on how to reconfigure my fax settings on Xerox AltaLink C8035?

Setup has worked fine for a year. Today it fails with inscrutable "Invoke Link Failed" message instead of printing. Scanning to a file still works.
I have created a scan template, that scanning to an SMB share.
The option "Login credetials to access the destitnation" on the WC 7855 is set to "Logged-in user"..
When im trying to scan the error Autentication failed error are printet out...
If i chage the credentials option to "Prompt at user interface" and enter my Active directory username and password it works..
All users is authenticated with access card and we are using Xerox Workplace Suite..
Any ideas how to resolve this?
ive done whaty they say to do with this scanner cleaned reset but still dosnt work anyone got any clues

we have a Xerox WorkCentre 3325 printer trying to scan over FTP server.
The server's configuration is OK, already in use widely by many MFP, but I have a problem with this only printer, while configuring the scan function to our server.
First of all, the server uses passive mode of FTP and the folders or user rights are well configured. I did not found any option to choose wether want to use passive or active mode for the FTP client.
When creating the target in the address book, the test successfully runs, without error, but when I am trying to scan, there is no specific information about the error, only the "Status: failed" result.
When we checked on the server side, it looks like, the FTP connection behaves as it would be active mode. Is there any option to set the printer's FTP client to passive or it is not supported by this machine?

I just purchased the 6515 after having used a Canon MF for years. I am trying to set up Scan to Folder which on the Canon was simple, the Xerox, not so simple. I have been working at this for 3 days and still no luck. I am receiving the following error: completed with an error 018-505 : smb-dos protocol error 1-005 I understand that to be an authorization error. I have tried every conseivable user name and password with no luck. I have followed the set up directions, nothing. Ready to return this and go back to something that works.

In my city I noticed Xerox is constantly hiring. I interviewed with an authorized dealer 4 months ago and met a couple people there, didn't get the job though. Today I looked at the authorized dealer's page and noticed 3 people no longer work there who I met/saw. I Would imagine they probably got let go. Is sales really cut throat if you miss your sales quota or is it just working for a company like Xerox?
Hello, i need to remove the access to all user to change the resolution by default on the workflow scanning. In fact, we want to lock access to resolution setting in scan. Because we have a software who need absolutety a scan in 400 dpi.... It is possible??? Thanks
Hoping someone can help... I'm scanning a document at the machine, and can see the files when I go to the printer's web page - I select the file, click download and it says it will downlod to the local machine, and then I get the attached. What is wrong? NOTE: We USED to be able to download scanned files with no problem. There were techs here and there that did things to the machine, and then all of a sudden, we can't download the files anymore. I noticed when I log in as admin, the files are NOT there. Only when I'm not signed in as a guest. I'm on a Mac (Mojave) and my coworker is on Windows 10, but we both experience the same issue. Not sure if it was Mac/Windows related but I guess not.
Hello, on our WC 7855 we're suddenly having a bizarre issue with our fax-to-email and scan-to-email functionality where emails being sent by the machine fail and I receive a very detailed error report. Complicating the issue is that our landlord provides our internet service and helped to some advanced configuration long time ago with our Xerox to get it 'connected'.
I forward a copy of the error report to our landlord's IT team and they said: (some items changed for confidentiality)
I noticed the Relay server (smtp server) you guys are using is SHSSML-DC3WVP01.landlordcompany.net [172.24.128.ABC]
The one we use is smtp.landlordcompany.net [172.24.128.DEF]
From the web-admin panel for our Xerox, how do I change this setting? I looked into alot of settings pages but couldn't find any field that matched "172.24.128.###". Thanks!

It appears not every time I print, but pretty often. What can i do for solve this?

I just purchased and set up a Xerox WorkCentre 6515. Everything, including the duplex function, seems to be working fine--everything except for one critical feature, and that is the ability to scan documents from the ADF (or glass, for that matter) to a folder on my PC's desktop. I have followed the manual's directions to the letter, but there isn't even an option of "Scan to desktop" present for me to choose. In fact, some of what the manual instructs me to do to scan something isn't even possible with my machine's configuration.
This machine looks to be a replica of the Dell 3110CN system I had that died on me. That unit had an awesome software package that allowed me to open it and use it to scan and save things in a breeze from my printer's ADF to a folder on my PC. I was hoping this Xerox 6515 would offer the same, but it seems to be much more complicated. Right now, I can't even scan period.
We have a Xerox WC 7830 that will receive faxes without any issue but we aren't able to send faxes out. This is a new issue that we are having. It isn't an issue with the recipient's machine because we've tried sending to multiple numbers/machines. The fax confirmation report simply states: "Status.......FAILED. Unable to connect to remote server."
Any suggestions/ideas? And I am not technologically savy so please use layman's wording -- just think "Fax Troubleshooting for Dummies." Thanks!

I am facing a performance issue with scan to smb folders. It is not related to the dimension of files because also running a "Destination Test" task, it takes very long time (waiting 2.30 minutes it finally got "pass" results).
I really cannot imagine the reason. I tried to scan to different servers, using Domain Controller users and local users (for example a test user created on my laptop). The result is always the same.
Using different protocols, such as FTP, is very fast.
Any ideas?

The same we can do for incoming fax. we can forward to a repository or emails, as well as print?

We recently upgraded a couple of our AltaLink C8035's to firmware version 101.001.009.00300 from 100.001.038.10200. Afterwards, we received some user feedback that the Add Me button was no longer there when they were doing Scan to Email. We've gone through every setting screen we can think of and don't see any way to re-enable this.
Anyone by chance seeing the same issue or know if this might be a bug? I read through all of the recent release notes as well and didn't see any mention of something related to this. We realize we can enable "Auto Add Me" or "Only Send to Self" but that isn't ideal to our user base. Thanks!
Is there a way to get my workcentre to send emails in HTML or Rich Text format? I have been through the admin portal but I do not see any settings for email format.
