I am using macOS Mojave 10.14.6 with my Workcentre 6515 and it does not communicate with the scanner when I try to access the scanner through the Printers & Scanners app from the System Preferences. I get a message that it is waiting for the scanner and does not wake up the scanner. On a second mac using macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, I can get the scanner to operate. I have downloaded and installed all the newest drivers and firmware on the Workcentre 6515 and still cannot get the scanner to respond.

Twain and Stop button
Dear Madam or Sir,
I am developing an application that interacts to Documate 4799 using Twain.
After starting scanning from my GUI, I press the STOP button in the scanner(green one).
Last two scannings show as empty, but most important, it stops immediately, leaving pages inside.
Then if I start scanning again, it reports PAPER JAM.
How could I interact with the scanner so when STOP button is pressed the user does not have to potentially clean PAPER JAMS and continue scanning?
pd: I tried the same with OneTouch 4.6, being able to archieve paper jams most of the times.
I have read in the manuals it should be compatible with Twain 1.9. I can tell that when sending the triplet:
- DG_CONTROL/DAT_PENDINGXFERS/STOPFEEDER
It says not implemented. Which one should I use instead to be able to pause and resume the scanning process using TWAIN from the computer?

Xerox C60 - scan to email error 027-779
Hello,
we’re having issues with scan to e-mail function and a new C60 with firmware 60.30.51.
Smtp server requires SSL/TLS and port 465 and a specific smtp account in order to send e-mails but when we try to use it, it gives error code 027-779:It attestation fails by SMTP-A.
To what setting does this code refer to?

WIA scanner not showing up
Dear Madam or Sir,
I am trying to connect to my Scanner through WIA 2.0 dll from Visual Studio.
When running:
- devices = WIAScanner.GetDevices().ToList();
devices has no element, whereas the Documate4799 is connected and switched on.
What can be the reason for it and what should I do in order to be able to use the WIA Microsoft Windows Image Acquisition Library v2.0?

5 beeps 5 times when trying to scan
We have network in our office and everything was fine untill the moment when our switch go down. And when we change the switch, network scanning stop working. We have printer with Fiery controller and printing is OK, but when we trying to scan, we have 5 beeps 5 times. Set up was thru SMB protocol and network settings thru broser showing that all settings is OK, but still 5 beeps, I`m changing the connection thru FTP to nework folder, but still 5 beeps. Try change different folders on different PC`s in our net, different users, different settings but problems still present.
Can someone tell me where my problem is and how can I resolve it, please?

I can scan right to the computer from the printer panel and there is some old destinatios which I want to delete. How to do it? They are not in adress book.

Scanning to folder

I am having a a Phaser 6180MFP-D, which i use for scanning in my office.
Printing is fine without any problem, my problem started when i upgraded to windows 10. i could not scan to folder eventhoug everything is done correctly since i was using it on windows 7 without issues.
can you kindly guide me on how to fix this, and, if firmware upgrade for the printer please assist on how to download the firmware since i could not find it anywhere.

WorkCentre 7845 Paper jam will not reset. Lower, left door.
I have a Xerox WorkCentre 7845.
Have had paper jam using tray two, set up to run 11x17. Pulled all jammed paper, cannot find any other jams or pieces any where.
Cannot reset machine. Paper jam message on a loop.
Have turned on and off several times. Even unplugged one time.
Please advise help to reset.

FAX Confirmatin Report Read Fax Number as Unknown
Hello, I have a customer who has a C8045 and sparadically when receiving the fax confirmation report, the fax number being faxed to reads unkown. The customer has the the fax number visible at all times. Why does this happen and is there a fix for this?
VersaLink® B405 Multifunction Printer scans “sometimes” 027-773
So, I was helping my brother with this B405 yesterday and I can’t figure it out. Let’s start off that it’s only the scanning to email (smtp) that’s the problem and so far everything else works. Plus I’m very tech savvy so lets skip that part too. He’s using windows 8.1 64bit and its setup to scan documents and email to his Gmail account. It works almost 100% of the time when he scans a few documents (say less then 10 pages) and it goes to his email find. So, the settings work, Gmail works etc. The problem arises (and only in the last few months) that when he does 50-100 pages, that range a few megabytes in size the Xerox chokes and doesn’t do anything. It takes forever to finally time out and state 027-773. Also on the progress it does show 97% and just sits there. This use to work and he states “nothing” changed. I went into the smtp settings and changed something (don’t remember the specific names) to allow for 20Megs emails, and I think a timeout, and I turned on compression. But longs story short I tweaked lots of setting and it still can’t handle it. Like I said it use to work so I’m assuming its @#@#@ firmware, but I didn’t and don’t know if I can downgrade the firmware to a different version. The only other guess I had was the memory is filling up so its puking on sending that much data, but since I can’t find a way to delete the logs and the docs don’t help, I did do a complete factory reset to clear them. Then used the clone process to bring back in my settings and still….. no joy. Again this use to work without issue but now it “sometimes” works with 50+ pages or 4-6Meg emails, but more often then not it just can’t do it.
The best part is his older Xerox phaser 3635 that has nothing but problems with the phaser laser thing (yes said it to be funny) the scanning can do 50-100-150 pages with NO issues. I even compared the settings on both and while the GUI are very different this unit does 300dpi (so higher then the newer one and yes I know I can switch it) and it has no issues. After he got this worked on a few times and paid to replace parts he went with the newer one which is suppose to be better.
I will say he doesn’t login, he has the admin account and his own account but he just leave it at the normal default screen to use all the features.
So, I’m at a loss and after banging away on it for hours I’m posting here. Anyone have any ideas? Recommendations? Why can this printer not handle it (anymore) but the much older one can? Does anyone know how to clear logs on the b405.

Can send fax, cannot receive faxes
We have recently installed workcentre 3345 MFP and went through the Fax Wizard settings to configure the fax settings. We are able to send faxes, but we are not able to receive faxes. I have already followed the following steps that were listed in the administrator manual:
At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button.
2. Touch Service Settings.
Note: To access this feature at the control panel, log in as an administrator.
3. Touch Fax.
4. Touch Incoming Fax Defaults.
5. To set the printer to receive all incoming calls as faxes, or to answer manually, touch Call Receive Mode, select an option, then touch OK.
Paper jams
AltaLink C8000 series Fax Foward to SMB issue
Trying to get fax forwarding working and failing miserably. We previously had a Xerox WorkCentre 7970 that worked flawlessly via SMB to our Synology D115j NAS. I took screenshots and had it documented how it had it setup.

That worked great until we "upgraded" to the AltaLink C8000 series (we have the C8070, C8055, and C8035). Following the same exact settings results in:
"Failed: Cannot Login into destination server using credentials provided."
I know the credentials work, I can map the drive to my computer, and access the share just fine. I have enabled SMB1, SMB2, and SMB3 on the Xerox side to no avail. I have it down to just SMB1 right now with no change. The NAS has SMB1-SMB3 enabled. I have the Xerox encryption set from TLS 1.0 up to 1.2 and back again. The firmware for the C8070 was updated recently to 101.003.069.20900 but that hasn't helped. The NAS has no firewall enabled, the IPs of the Xerox's have been whitelisted. The logs on the NAS don't even register a failed attempt to connect. The SMB log in the Synology doesn't register anything either, but I think it only logs file read/write/delete. I got the Xerox to (ONE TIME) connect successfully but it had a dummy folder setup and I was grasping at straws at the time and lost what settings I was using. I know the device is capable of SMB3, as noted by the ONE time it connected properly:

Email To A Text Searchable PDF
Hello there Xerox folks. We have a tremendous need to be able to email data files in a pdf format which can then be searched and/or columns of data selected and copied. When emailing, on the Email tab, under Scan Presets, we select For Ocr, save this option, and send the email. Then we usually operate on it with an OCR software, in our case we have been using PDF-Xchange Viewer. Next we can select and copy and preserve column data and search the file. Is there a way to do this directly from the Workcentre 7435 instead of having to go through this intermediate step. In other words, can we make a searchable pdf directly from the Workcentre 7435 as I have seen on other Xerox machines? I have checked with the various team members and folks seem to struggle with this being done in two steps. It would be great to be able to shorten this.
