Setting up scan to email for outlook email account

I have been trying for a few days to set my new printer up to scan to email using an outlook.com account.

The address is my.printer@outlook.com  I do not know if this is office.com or office365.com  But I have tried settings for both.

I have tried every server set up settings I can find on google and they constantly give me errors.

 

Does anyone know what the server settings are!

Paper jam but no paper is jammed

Have an error to clear paper jam in document feeder error 005-908.

There is no paper jammed in the document feeder, we have tried turning machine off a the power to reset and it hasn't fixed the issue.

What is the excuse for why we cannot use the CentreWare software when we choose to use the USB direct cable setup? You installed a lot of totally useless junkware on my system and did not install the most NEEDED software. 

I have received a few excuses from the "technical support" as to why the CentreWare cannot be accessed for all purposes, as it should be. Even if CentreWare, the Webpage, cannot be used for all installations, EVERY option afforded there should be readily available on any version of the installation.

Why has Xerox chosen to force/manipulate people who chose the viable and afforded USB setup to face hard use of a decent device?

The "Xerox Print Experience" is so limited and week it is basically useless and should be deemed ready for rewrite.

Please get this lack of intuition addressed and the software "corrected" ASAP.

Workflow Scanning Error

We have two Altalinks both scanning to a Dell San drive one works, the other doesn't.

The faulty device will scan to a Windows 2012 server ok but not the Dell san drive.

It gives a Repository login error on the destination test (they are both using the same passwords).

Running a Wireshark show this error on the faulty device

The working device shows successful negotiation.

We have tried all SMB's versions.

Any thoughts?

 

 

Map internal scan folder

I setup the copier to save scans internally (not to a network share or email). 

1) How do I map that internal folder to the computers on the network for scan retrieval? 

2) I noticed that the internal folder is set to (PRIVATE) do I need to set it to public? if so, how do I do that?

Intermittent 018-747 error when scanning to SMB share

Scan to network share using SMB. Network share located on Windows 2019 Server

Network path settings are definately correct. Users can scan to their folders 95% of the time

What is happening is sometimes a user will be scanning a multipage document (not huge, maybe 5 - 10 pages) and most of the pages will make it to the share, one or two pages will not. Error code 018-747 will be logged in the error history on the printer.

Error code 018-747 means "Unable to find the SMB server during SMB scan"

Digging in to SMB logs on the server shows no errors corresponding to the error time recorded in the printer. In the same logs I can see successful connection to the SMB share at that time. No error being recorded server side.

So it is like halfway through a job, the printer is all of a sudden deciding that the share it has been scanning to is no longer there, and then it is again.

I have tried changing network path from FQDN to IP address and issue persists. I don't want to have to go down the route of setting up an FTP server for this task.

Previous server was SBS2011 and did not have this issue. This has only been happening since moving to the 2019 server.

If anybody out there has any insight into this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. I have spent several hour on this and am fresh out of ideas on where to look further

Repeat Image option on Xerox 5755

Hello, 

I recently have bought Xerox WorkCentre 5755 from a friend and completely satified form the machine and its output quality. The question I have is:  Is there a way to get the Repeat Image option in Output Format>>Page Layout so that I can make multiple copies on a single page with one scan? In my machine I can only see two options in Page Layout which are "Off" and "Pages per Side". Kindly if there is a solution to my query than your help will be appreciated.

Scanning, blank page deletion

Hi, I wanted to know if there is a way to do workflow scanning and automatically delete blank pages? It is a great feature on the 8070s and below, and some of our customers love it, but we have been unable to find this on the 9070.

how do i get the Workflow Scanning icon on the oprinter screen cant seen to accessit as book says via centreware,

 

this is a new secondhand printer so just got it and it has subscribed only to 4 servise icons

 

maybe i to old to learn new tricks but i be blowed if i can get it up on screen

i trying to scan docs to usb stick

Error Code 016-503

I have tried to setup the SMPT for our organizations g-suite account - however I keep receiving error 016-503. Not really sure what I am doing wrong. This is my first time setting up SMPT so I'm a little in the dark. 

Any help would be appreciated!

Symptoms:

When using the 'scan to email' function on the device, device throwing error (027-777): Server un-suppports SMTP-AUTH. We cannot find any setting on the printer to enable “TLS/StartTLS” and we cannot use/configure connector on O365 as per company policy.

 

Seeking suggestions.  Thank you.

AltaLink C8080 not scanning to SMB folder Windows Server 2016

Dear team,

Deeply asking for your support with my Xerox AltaLink C8030 machines.

Once all 3 machines stopped scanning to the SMB folder.

I did upgrade of firmware and installed the latest patch, so now I am on 103.001.020.23120

I reset the machine (erase customer data) and start from the beginning:

add a contact to address book - which is an SMB folder at Windows Server 2016.

username is added as domain\user

destination test shows Failed: Cannot Login into destination server using credentials provided.

No Scan option Work Center 7242

I brought a used WorkCenter 7242 with the understanding that it is 'multifunction' and has scan feature as well. But now as see the screen, there is only Copy fucntion under all services.

I did check under settings (after login in with admin 11111 user) and tried to enable more buttons under all services but I don't have any other services there to assign buttons to!

Also I have setup the smtp settings to my gmail account and have also enabled all the settings of enable emails (like recieving and sending). Still no luck.

Checking the manuals it all says about setting up Scan to Folder or Scan to FTP or Scan to Email options, but I don't have any scan option under settings all together to setup local folder, SMB etc.

Same when I login through the web interface (Centerware), I dont have any tab of scan but only for print. Checking more under properties -> services I see only printing and verified that the email smtp settings are correct.

Can someone advise what am I missing? Is is blocked somewhere? I see under maintanence there is an option to put software codes (5 of them) but don't find any info about it anywhere. Does anyone know what this codes are and if it's related to my issue? I am on firmware version 1.207.5

Any ideas?

Can't connect to Xerox 7845 via browser

I had a "Certified Copier Technician" come in to setup scan to network folder via ftp on our xerox workcentre 7845. I noticed that during the ftp setup on the copier he changed the default port from port 80 to port 21. After he saved the setting, we were no longer able to access the copier via any browser on any machine. He then "went to lunch" and we haven't heard from him since. How do I reset the default port back to port 80. I tried the option to reset the machine to factory defaults but that didn't work. Or maybe i'm just not doing something correct. Can anyone help with this? We are out of our factory warranty period.

DocuCentre-IV C2270 not able to see PC hostname

Hi,

The photocopier is not able to see the PC (hostname) in the same network (different IP subnet). Eventhough it can ping between PC-Photocopier (both way). If I replace the hostname with an IP adderss in the address book, then the scan-to-pc works.

However i would like to resolve the issue, to get the photocipier to be able to discover the PC using hostname automatically; else everytime the PC renew a new IP, the scan-to-pc features failed again.

My setup:

Firewall: DHCP server (IP range 172.x.x.x)
Photocopier: received IP from Firewall (172.x.x.x)
Wifi AP: received IP from Firewall (172.x.x.x). Also broadcasting IP (192.168.x.x) for PCs over Wifi.
PC: received IP from Wifi AP. Getting IP 192.168.x.x.

PC can ping to Photocopier and vice versa (172.x.x.x) <-> (192.168.x.x).

But scan-to-pc under the same workgroup cannot see the PC (hostname).

Any idea how can i get the Photocopier to see the PC hostname?


 

Unexpected Communication Error

I am an individual trying to setup my Workcentre 6515 to Scan. I used to have no issues with Scan To - Contacts - SMB file. However, after factory resetting my printer when I try to add new contact SMB I get this error:

"Unexpected Communication Error. Unable to Browse SMB. Connectivity issue."

I also couldn't scan into the contact folder I used to scan before, error message 078-755

I spoke to support yesterday and we checked my IP, DNS, WiFi, Ethernet and folder share setup. Everything is setup correctly but the issue is still on. I even deleted my antivirus thinking that firewall is the reason, but it's not.

Please help. I won't be able to be on hold for over 2 hours again :(

Output is not a solid image, middle of image is gray

I have a Workcentre 7845.  Have been having issues withthe middle of the page not being solid.  Most notable on black image only. Have just changed out R1 drum, was showing zero.  All other supplies look good.  Fresh black ink cartridge has been installed. Not sure about the life of the developer, have had the machine for a few years and have not had any one service machine.

Vertical band on upper page when scanning

When I scan a document after not using the printer for a while, there is a black 2cm vertical band all the way down the middle of the page. If I then scan again, straight afterwards, the band is now a semi transparent grey. This only applies to the upper sides (page 1) of a duplex scan. This happens whether I scan via the automatic document feeder or simply place the document on the document glass. It is also the same for colour or B&W scans.


I have tried cleaning the CVT glass and the document glass to no effect.

Any other ideas please?
