Without using Accounting functions is there a setting where a user at the copier can be limited to making x number of copies at a time?
We had a person print 1500 copies of one page where they really needed only 15.

Error when scanning "Identify Deleted Jobs" on 7970
We have a customer who are getting the below error when scanning on their brand new machines. They have a Workcentre 7970, we have never seen this error on any other models of the machine. The firmware on the machine is 072.200.134.32804.

WorkCenter 3225 delete destination list
Hi all
Can't find how to delete destination list from printer?
When you want to scan to PC you should enter it, by default it's name of the computer, where EPM installed and configured. Unfortunatelly I didn't find any clear documentation about network scanning, so I created a few records from different computers, but finally I made virtual machine, so I don't need all list. I didn't find this list of records neither device menu, nor EPM, nor Web-interface.
So HOW?

Scan to email 7120 via google apps (gmail)
We successfully update the firmware on this device today to Version 71.23.53. I then proceeded to follow the instructions in the post at the top of this forum. It does not work. At all.
I have 20 Ricoh devices using smtp.gmail.com, SSL enabled, port 465 that send no problem. I have tried everything on this device.
smtp.gmail.com port 465 SSL/TLS
smtp.gmail.com port 465 STARTTLS
smtp.gmail.com port 587 SSL/TLS
smtp.gmail.com port 587 STARTTLS
I am able to successfully telnet from a pc on this network to smtp.gmai.com on both ports.
Whenever we try to send using the gmail server we get 1 of 2 errors:
Completed with error (016-764) SMTP server connection error
Completed with error (017-714) SMTP over ssl failed
Any ideas? I've tried everything I can think of. I don't understand why this won't work. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

CIS Scanning to folder setup - Clarification please
Hi
I'm very new to Xerox network scanning and am hoping for a little clarification on the setup process.
I'm looking at setting up scanning for individual members of staff on a WorkCentre 7556.
At the moment there are 4 Templates set up under 'Scan' in Centreware Internet Services (which I'll call CIS if it's ok...).
Each is for a department and is scanning to a share on a machine on the same subnet using smb.
There are no file repositories set up under CIS Properties->Services->Workflow Scanning->File Repository Setup but the scanning works fine (except that the share host keeps shutting down).
Everywhere I look up scanning in the documentation / on the web it seems to always start off talking about setting up Workflow Scanning File Repositories.
What I'm wondering is, what essentially is the difference between these and the way it's been done previously by just setting up a Scan template using smb with server, share, and authentication credentials please?

SMB parameter format
Hi
When setting up a Template to scan to a folder using SMB you are asked for server, port, share, folder, username, and password.
Port, and password - Obvious.
Now then, say the full UNC path to the folder to be scanned to is: \\myserver\sharename\folder1\folder2
Should the 'Server' box (if using host Name) be '\\server' or '//server' or 'server'?
Should the 'Share' box be filled with '\sharename' or '/sharename' or 'sharename'?
Should the 'Folder' box be filled with '\folder1\folder2' or '/folder1/folder2' or 'folder1\folder2' or 'folder1/folder2'?
(I'm particularly confused here because the Templates that are already set up have '\sharename' and '.' for the folder, but if I edit the default Template under Workflow Scanning->Default Template the Document Path: is showing as 'folder1\folder2/' )
Should the Username box in the Template be domain\username or username (or even domain/username for some reason)?

new WC 5330PT / optional Scan Kit?
We have received this new MFD, but it is not on the network yet. What does the PT indicate? I can't find this info on the website.
I am hoping this device has the optional Scan Kit installed. Adding the Scan Kit at this point would be somewhat difficult, since it should have been part of the initial contract.

WC 6605 - "Failed to scan" via USB
Hi there,
I'm finally seraching for help on this particular issue, after hours of researching a solution...
We have 2 WC 6605 at home ; I have to use mine with the USB cable. I can print everything... but cannot scan anything!
When connected to my MacBook Air (running under Yosemite, OSX 10.10.3), this is what happens: if I do Scan to>PC and press the green button, I get almost immediatly the "failed to scan" message on my computer. Cannot scan a single page.
When connected to my iMac (same system running), I'm usually able to scan one page, always in B&W, even if quadrichromy has been selected.
This is driving me crazy... any suggestions?

I'm having a strange issue where the printer resets all it's settings. This screen pops up then goes away saying something about Auto clear. What is auto clear and why would the printer randomly reset itself to default settings?

SMTP not an option in Centreware for 3210
Hi all,
I have a 3210 and I am trying to set it up to Scan to Email. According to the user's guide in the "Setting up an e-mail account" (page 45) it says to go to the machines ip address (done), and "Click on Properties, Protocol, and SMTP Server." The problem is SMTP is not an option! What am I missing here?

Xerox Phaser 3635MFP Scan to email problem with legal size paper with the ADF

Have anyone with the Xerox Phaser 3635MFP able to scan legal size document using the ADF for Scan to Email?
For me, it only scan letter size and with about 3 inches cut off at the bottom of the paper.

Workcentre 3220 - Unable to scan to ftp
Hi there,
I am unable to scan documents to my ftp server from my workcentre 3220. I configured all the settings in the web interface. But everytime I scan, the machine prints a Scan to Server Confirmation Report stating that the status failed. Pls Help!

Scanning Problem with Xerox M215FW - ERR 351-555
Dear Support,
I try to scan files through wireless network to my lappy with Windows 8.1 and I allowed all network users or everyone to access the folder which I shared over my home network but the scanner still doesn't work not matter I'd loosen the security on the folder I shared.
Do you have the idea on how to make this work?

xerox workcentre 7235 Fax cover page shows the wrong fax number
Hello,
I've got a xerox workcentre 7235 that seems to send the wrong phone number on faxes. The recipient of the fax gets a number on the fax cover page that is not the xerox's fax number.
Is the number that shows up on the receiving end's cover page programmable?

WorkCenter 7855 lines of color appear on scanned documents
Hi, I sometimes see some coloured lines all over my documents after they have been scanned on my Work Center 7855. Is there some basic things to do to have it fixed or do I have to call the technical support.

Workflow Scanning to another Xerox Workcentre Mailbox/Folder

I wanted to pose a question to you and see if I might be able to have some light shed on it. I am trying to see if there is a way to setup a secure scan of high resolution documents from one Xerox Workcentre to another. I would like the scanned documents to be stored on a local folder of the recipient Workcentre to allow users to select the scanned document and be able to print it. So the workflow would go as such; Document is scanned at Workcentre 1 at high resolution and is sent to a local folder of Workcentre 2, User at Workcentre 2 opens the local folder and prints the scanned document, process can be repeated at both Workcentre printers. If anyone has any insights into this I would greatly appreciate them.

Scan to encrypted USB Phaser 3635
Our policy requires that any sensitive or proprietary information that is stored on a USB thumb drive must be password protected.
With that said, can you scan to encrypted USB thumb drive? I have only tried so far on our Phaser 3635's with must recent software update. We also use WorkCentre 7835 with 1.5 connectkey as well as Colorqube 8700, 8900, and 9300's with 1.5 connectkey.
Any guidance would be appreciated. I have no been able to find anything in any of the manuals or on the forum that touches on this. If its out there please provide me the link. Thanks!
