New firmware result in invalid toner
I installed latest firmware (2.50.00.105) on a Work Centre 3210. i am now getting an alarm which reads Ïnvalid Toner".I have changed the toner cartridge (genuine Fuji Xerox), alarm still displays. The supplies status page of WCIS shows that there is 0% left in the toner cartridge but it is a new cartridge from an unopened box."Is there a newer version of firmware without this bug? What can I do to get the machine working again?

Can users create their own network-based scan folders
We have our Workcentre 7545 set so users can select a scan template set up for them that sends the scans to a network-based subfolder named after them (e.g. \\serverX\accounting\john). We would like new employees to be able to easily create their own folder within the departmental folder we have created. Is there a way, either through our present templates or by other means, to do this that also doesn't require each user to logon to the 7545 each time they want to scan?
Basically my boss doesn't want the IT department to have to be involved each time a new employee is hired who needs to scan to a network-based, employee-specific folder.

Help setting up Windows Fax and Scan for WorkCentre 7545???
Here are my steps:
Currently on Windows 7 x64
1. Open Windows Fax and Scan
2. Click "Tools"
3. Click "Fax Accounts"
4. Click "Add"
5. Click "Connect to a fax server on my network"

There is a message box that pops up with "Type the fax server location...For example \\mycompanyfax"
I have tried:
\\192.168.1.26
\\servername_where_xerox_driver_is_stored
nothing seems to work and I get the same error:
"The mentioned fax server is not available. Please correct the server name and try again."
I ran the configuration on the machine:
Machine Name: XRX_0000AAFA56CE
IP address: 192.168.1.26
FaxLine1: 11
System Software Version: 061.121.221.29800
Machine URL: http://192.168.1.26
I'm not sure if this a windows problem or a xerox problem. Or if the machine can't even be setup like this.

Scanned Documents Slow to Appear in User's Network Folder
We have a Xerox Workcenter 7556 and I have this recurring problem for my users where they use Workflow Scanning, scan to a folder in \Scans\UserName on our server (Windows Server 20008 R2 Standard service pack 1) and the file takes a very long time to appear on the users mapped drive to the network share (Users are using Windows 7) Any Thoughts on what is causing this and how I might resolve it?

Login failure Workcentre 5755 & 7545
Good Day Support,
I have a customer that recently moved over to a hosted mail server, they have WorkCentre 7125's that are able to scan without any problems, the 5755's & 7545's however give a login failure when trying to scan with exactly the same settings.
I have tried different username configurations ( user@domain.com & user ) without any luck. Is there something Im missing? I understand that the 7125's are Fuji/Xerox devices is there perhaps something they are doing that the other models can't ?

Xerox Documate 4790 Black Borders...
We have a scanner that is putting a black border around the the back pages when we duplex scan. The front side of the page comes through just fine, but the back side of the page has the black border. We looked at the settings and the crop option is grayed out. Could anyone provide insight on how to get rid of the black border?

5030 getting 10-101.
replaced registration and short paper path. didnt work. its the same kind of machine as the 5655. Its a timing issue and we can not seem to resolve it. paper falls short of the fuser.. it might slightly enter the fuser but... im at a loss..

Fax Forward notification 5335
Hello all! We have just purchased a 5335 workcenter and I have a quick question. We have it set up in our main workroom away from the receptionist that handles all the faxes. Is it possible to set up an alert to her desktop when a fax is received rather than everyone being disrupted by the ringing fax sound from the machine.

Error Setting up Scan Template
I have a DocuColor 252. When I log in as admin and try to make a new Scan template a page loads that says "Name" "Description" "Username" and then the following errors underneath it. I have tried from multiple browsers and have gotten the same error:

Phaser 3635MFP firmware 20.105.01.007 - Scan to email problems
Hello,
Since upgarding the firmaare to 20.105.01.007 scan to email doesn't work.
As far as I know downgrade is not possible.
Moreover I can't find any previous firmaware files (ex: 20.105.01.004)
Any solution?

WorkCentre 7545 - Scan to (Dropped) Email
I am currently at work, PDFing architecture journals. They are 11x17" two-page spreads, full color, printed originals, at 300dpi and with OCR searchability.
The Scan to Email feature works well, until I surpass a certain number of segments. Then, I get no message. I have waited for hours, anticipating a larger file size would take longer. However, I then scanned in relatively shorter documents, and received them via email instantly.
My colleagues assure me that the machine can handle documents that surpass at least 30 segments. My documents average around 40 segments. Twice now, I have carefully scanned in complete journals, only to have them completely dropped.
Is there information available providing maximum segment numbers, depending on file size?
Does the limit even exist?
Currently, I am scanning in pieces of documents and combining them in the computer. I will look into gmail's maximum size for an attachment (I think 25MB, which may explain things). I will also look into firmware upgrades.
If anyone has any info, or inkling, toward a solution I would <3 you much!

Phaser 6128 MFP - unable to connect to smtp
i had my MFP working just fine, untill one day i suddenly started to get 016-764 SMTP connection failed.
I hadn't changed my mail server, it just suddenly started. I know there is no problem with net connection, because i can access the printer through the net.
I tried using other servers, but with no change. it is like the printer can be accessed through the office network, but can't connect to anything outwards.
please help.

We would like to setup Workflow scanning on Xerox 7530. I have a few questions regarding the Workflow scanning option.
1. We would like to setup Workflow Scanning option as "Scan to Folder" over the network. Are there any step by step instructions on how to configure Workflow Scanning as "Scan to Folder" using CentreWare Internet Services (CWIS)?
2. We would have multiple users using the "Scan to Folder" option. Is there a way we can log or keep track of which user scanned which document?

WorkCentre 5655 scan to email issue
I'm hoping someone can assist with this issue: We have several 5655s. On one of them, we've recently noticed that when scanning to email that the "transfer" function is remaining on the display longer than then other machines, and longer than it was doing a month ago.
In other words, when we scan a document to email, the display reads Scan>Process>Transfer. The scan and process functions are done quickly. It's when it reaches the transfer that the slowness occurs. This happens regardless of the size of the file. Very often the file has already been delivered to the user's inbox but "transfer" still appears on the display.
This wouldn't be much of a problem except that it slows down job input when the operator has several jobs to scan. They have to wait for the "transfer" to clear from the display before beginning a new job. Anyone have an idea what this might be? I'm sure I haven't provided enough information so please let me know what you need. I did searches but didn't find anything on this issue.

WorkCentre 6505DN FTP challenge
Good morning Xerox,
I have a WorkCentre 6505DN with multiple users set up correctly to Scan to FTP yet have 2 that are not working and setup the same on the workstations and the printer. I am getting a Server Not Found - error 031-576 every time I try to scan to this User FTP - yet same document different user works great.
I cannot seem to find the 031-576 error.
Help!!!

Xerox Workcentre 7345 ldap issue
Hi.
We have alot of Xerox machines at work that we want to configure so that we can recieve e-mail adresses from the active directory to use with scanning.
We have it working with novell, but we can't seem to get it working with AD whatever we do.
The machine we test on right now is a 7345 with latest firmware, after inserting all settings for the ad-server and trying to search for a username, all we get is a small note back that it was not possible.
Just to troubleshoot abit we installed ldap-browser on a pc on the same domain/network and it can see the users in the AD when using the same username and password that we configured on the 7345, so we can't really understand what the problem is, we have tried with and without SSL etc.
Is there any non-released fw for this machine that we could test to see if we can get it working?

Xerox PC-Fax and Windows 8
Installed Windows 8 (64 bit) and am cannot see a fax option in the latest PCL driver on a Phaser 6180MFP machine. Also updated to latest firmware on this machine. Everything else seems to work fine, any ideas?
Under printer properties on the PCL 6 driver in the Paper/Output tab, the Job Type dropdown list select doesn't have a Fax option and the "setting..." menu is greyed out. The only options are Normal Print, which works fine as well as Secure Print and Proof Print which have yellow bangs. This printer is installed via IP on a Windows 2012 server but I've also tried with a direct connect USB. Please let me know if any other info would be beneficial.
