Hello,

 

New here, hope i don't do something stupid :)

 

Have a workcentre 7328 and i'm trying to set up the default address list in the system but there does not seem to be a way to do this.  Meaning, I want this adress list to show when i scan to email by default so i don't have to search out the public list every time i want to scan/email someone.  Is this possible?

I was able to scan at the beginning of the week, then had some technical issues, someone came yesterday morning to fix that (problems with the paper tray) and now scanning doesn't work anymore. 

 

Typically, I scan by email, and I get the error: "complete with an Error (016-768): Invalid Sender Address

When I attempt to scan to network, I get the error: "completed with an Error (027-516): server connection error in SMB

 

I imagine these are related but I don't know where to start looking for the problem.

hi guys

I wanna ask about my machine .. I cant copy full size of a paper .. just a line .. and when I scan the same thing happening .. but when I print throgh usb there is no problem . image for the problem

I have a question regarding printing incoming faxes on a WorkCentre 6605. When the machine is configured with two paper trays, is it possible to assign one of them to fax printing?

Xerox WorkCenter 7665 No. 10 ENVELOPE PRINTING? DOES IT SUPPORT?

Dear Community,

 

The online records for 7665 say support for C5 and C6 envelope printing, despite the fact that bypass tray has a symbol with envelope crossed over (as if theres no support for envelope at all)

 

My question is:

 

Can I somehow print on No. 10 size envelopes?  ( 9 1/2" x 4" ) STANDARD SIZE ENVELOPES?

Hi,
Our work centre 53200a is always keeping the print jobs on hold and showing "user action" under the status on its web admin console. We have to select the job and delete it to clear it.

Any suggestions?

Xerox 3325 - Unable to send email with TLS

I am trying to set up a 3325 to scan to our Exchange 2010 server using TLS encryption. I can send email without TLS on the Xerox without any issue. As soon as I require TLS on the server and enable TLS on the Xerox then run the SMTP Configuration Test, it stops on "Connecting to server" and just times out and eventually fails. If I turn off SSL/TLS on the Xerox, it will connect and on the "Trying to Login" test, it will say "Invalid server." If I turn off the TLS requirement on the server, it will flow as usual.

 

I am able to send email via TLS from Outlook and Thunderbird without any issue. There is a legit 3rd party SSL certificate on the Exchange server and the name of the server in the Xerox matches the name of the certificate. I don't get any certificate errors or warnings when using Outlook/Thunderbird. I haved tried using ports 465 and 587 with the same result. If I change to the IP address of the server and turn on TLS I get the same time out.

 

I really need to be able to send email via TLS as sometimes sensitive documents are scanned and emailed. I am running the latest firmware 51.003.01.

How do I set the scan preferences when scanning to a network PC?  I can only find preferences for USB, SMB, FTP.  Yes, I can make the menu selections as I go along, but I want to make it VERY EASY for the lawyers in the office.

This may be the result of an incorrect setting (or settings) I have made.

 

I am a newbie to both Xerox and the 3210.

 

(1) How can I fix this problem?

(2) For future use, is there any way to reset the machine to its original default settings?

(3) Should this printer have been accompanied by a user manual?

 

Workcentre 3550 Scan to email enable

I am somewhat embarassed to ask this - but we have a 3550 at our remote location.

I have remotely set everything up for scanning to e-mail, but the users cannot select e-mail scanning from the menu button.

Where do I actually "enable" e-mail scanning? I've looked everywhere on the GUI but can't find it there.

Docucolor 240 scan to network folder

We have a Docucolor 240 with Fiery controller that we are trying to setup to allow users to scan directly to a network folder.  I was told by Xerox support that this requires the use of an external FTP server.  The 240 is on the network and serving as a network printer.  Can anyone confirm of provide direction on how to be able to scan to a specific folder?

Xerox 5855 Scanner

Dear Support,

We have recently purchased a xerox 5855 for our new corporate office. I am the IT Officer and setup the printer on our network.

I am experiencing issues while scanning, there is this streak of line accross the edge of the document that comes from nowhere. This is entirely affecting the buisiness because we cannot scan at all without this line showing up.

 

I have cleaned the glass, block the lights around the printer (local xerox branch advised), played around every possible settings on the machine. I have red somewhere that the scanner may need calibration, i am sorry but this option is nowhere to be found on the model. The local xerox branch doesnt know what could be the cause and advised to change the whole document feeder. This is not the case because it was the sole purpose why we bought  a new printer, was to eliminate the line issue that was aparent on our last printer (5335).

 

Please advise A.S.A.P anyone, im running out of solutions.

xerox 4250 network scanning

We set up the 4250 to scan to folders (SMB) on a usb drive connected to our network router.  The scanning was working prior to a recent software update on the copier.  Now we get the error user unable to access folder.  The scanning seems to work OK when connecting to a compter on the network.  We are using the IP of the router, port 139 (I have also tried 445).  The share name is the folder on the drive.  the user/password is setup to be the user/password on the drive.  It has all been tested.  This was working fine before the latest update (software/firmware).  Can anyone help out to what could have changed and how that might be affecting my setup?

5890 Auto clear fax number after send

Does anyone know a way to clear the fax number after one is sent?  The 57xx did this and we'd like the 5890 to act that way as well.

I have a new 7830 and need to adjust the print color.  I am wondering if there is anything anyone has seen that speaks about this in some detail.  I know where the controls are but would like some background so I dont just have to use trial and error

My machine not  scan via smb I've frimware 071.010.103.04401 the problem is only with win7.

Other computer with windows xp wiht the same configuration works fine.

 

I've a firmware problem ??

 

The machine give this error "UNKOWN ERROR" in the workflow scan option. Only with win7.

DCP 700 Network Scanning not working...

Hi,

We recently moved our DCP-700 to a different building and network setup.  Some how the network scan ability has been cut off during the move and it no longer can scan to a network location. Can someone point me to a step by step procedure for setting up Network Scanning from the beginning?  I have tried to set the template scan file to use SMP to a shared network path, user, and PW.  Nothing I do seems to make a difference and the scan never seems to go anywahere... I can print to the DCP-700 from remote network locations within the office, so I know it is receiving data from the network through the Fiery controler, but cannot seem to figure out how to get the scan to be sent from the copier to a network location.

Any help would be greatly welcom...

Xerox 5845 enlarging - origin point

I refer to the Origin on the platen should be the reference point for scaling the image.

The Origin is indicated by an arrow on the top-left corner of the glass platen,

where a user should place the original material against.

 

What the Xerox copier does now when we choose to copy and enlarge an image, is use an origin point on the top (middle) edge of the glass platen. 

So if you align your original image against the arrow on the glass platen, and scale 120%, your scale image ends up outside of your paper.  This is because it is scaled 120% from left to right.

 

so currently the shift the paper we want enlarged away from the top left hand corner so the copy enlarges and stays on the page

 

how do we change the orgin point to the top left and avoid this issue

 

Xerox Workcentre 7345 ldap issue

Hi.

 

We have alot of Xerox machines at work that we want to configure so that we can recieve e-mail adresses from the active directory to use with scanning.

 

We have it working with novell, but we can't seem to get it working with AD whatever we do.

 

The machine we test on right now is a 7345 with latest firmware, after inserting all settings for the ad-server and trying to search for a username, all we get is a small note back that it was not possible.

 

Just to troubleshoot abit we installed ldap-browser on a pc on the same domain/network and it can see the users in the AD when using the same username and password that we configured on the 7345, so we can't really understand what the problem is, we have tried with and without SSL etc.

 

Is there any non-released fw for this machine that we could test to see if we can get it working?
