WorkCentre 6015N Color MFP Fax quality problems

We occasionally encounter the following problems when sending faxes from a couple of WorkCentre 6015N Color MFPs:

 

Documents are scanned, fax is sent, send report print a corrent image of the sent pages and report that they were sent OK (e.g. Mode SG3 Result Done), however pages are received as either all-black, or as grey, displaying random noise. Units are set to support ECM.

 

This problem occurs again and again, even in intra-company communications, and only occurs with said units. Should we try and send faxes from different fax machines to the same recipients, pages arrive correctrly, with no quality problem whatsoever.

 

What can be done to reinstate user trust? We bought XEROX wishing to give them the best and have since to request them not to rely on unit reports but call the recipient and verify receipt.

Multi domain scan to email

Hi all,

we have 7855(software vers. 073.040.126.28110) and we're not able to scan from a different domain(we configured two domains but only the main works). I remember on the 7545 we had there was a button for domain selection. I'm not able to find it in the 7855. we configured the domains in the ldap menu, just there.

how do we enable that button?

Copy & Scan features unavailable on Workcentre 5150

My office uses a Xerox Workcentre 5150 Printer/Copier/Scanner/Fax machine. The machine serial number is VXX104497N. I have no idea about the age of the machine. 

 

Our problem is that we periodically lose the copying and scanning features.The machine display reads "copying and scanning are unavailable" when this occurs. The display also says to restart the machine. I have followed the suggestion approach many times. It works sometimes, sometimes it does not. I do follow the restart recommended on the display.

 

At first, the issue appeared to occur only in the morning. I thought maybe it was an issue occurring when the machine goes into "sleep mode" at night. Now it occurs with greater frequency and at any time of the day. I have been unable to acertain any other commonalities with the occurrence of the issue.

 

We have had Xerox support visit our office twice. Both times we were unable to recreate the with the tech on site. I have taken photo of the machine on the display message. They are attached to this post.

Problems Scanning Xerox Workcenter 3345

Hello, my office just bought a Xerox Workcenter 3345 device and I have difficulties with the scanning options. In the main menu of the printer it says on the tab Scan To PC, need to call an administrator. What to do? I tried finding a scan to pc application for the xerox printer but I can't find a download link - is it by any change a paid app? Also, the scan to a network folder doesn't seem to work, I created a file on the network, shared it but when I tried to scan to it, it gives me an error. The username and password of the pc on which the scan folder is located are already entered. I will attached an image with the settings I've done so far - where did I go wrong?

 

Any help is very helpfull.

Scanning to Destination Workcentre 7225

In order to use this feature do I have to change the Login Method to Validate on the Network?

Or should I be able to do this with the Login Method set to validate on the device?

 

I tried setting this up the other day using Workflow Scanning under one of the printer users and kept getting a login error. I used one of the support videos as reference. There is a button in the printer web interface to test the destination and it was disabled and said I needed to change the Login Method. This why I am asking. Today I plan to try and setup the Scan To feature, but thought I should maybe ask, as I really do not want to change the login method if I don't need to.

CM115 w - Scanning to multiple pages

Hi, 

 

I recently purchased a Fuji Xerox CM115 w and am having difficulty working out how to scan multiple pages at a time. I can't seem to work out how with the provided documentation. Is it done with a feeder or via the document glass?

Printing is complete but in every print, in the background there are 11 lines of 8 black stamps interment per line.

I have tried to reset printing (default) specs from the printer menu but no use.

Further I have cleaned every possible internal part that I reach.

Is there any solution, do I need to replace any part?

Blue background in copies WC 7225 only adf

I have a WC 7225 when i scan or copy only in the ADF in color, the document have a blue background, when copy or scand from the cristal is working fine.


Can't Install Xerox Scan Assistant on Windows 10 x64

I have a Xerox 3315 printer that doesn't give me the option of scanning to pdf. I would like to install Xerox Scan Assistant which should give me the option of scanning to pdf, but I don't see where it is available in Windows 10. Are there any other options?  Some of the Windows 8.1 drivers?

Rename "Services Home" icons on Workcentre 7970?

Is there any way to change the names of the services that appear on the "Services Home" display of a Xerox WorkCentre 7970?  We'd like to rename the "Mail" icon to "Scan to Mail".  People are getting confused and choosing the "Workflow Scanning" icon when they really should be choosing the "Mail" icon.

 

7835 - Scanning to Email & SMB by 1 click

I have 7835 with scan to email configured and works well so far, except big scan jobs... so I am looking for a solution wherein by 1 scan it should go to the users email as well as his smb folder. Is there a such feature exists in Xerox?

Xerox 7545 - Scanner Fault - Fault Code 362.476.00

Hello,

 

We have a Xerox 7545 and this problem has been driving me absolutely nuts.  The image attached shows the Scanner Fault message.  The error code is 362.476.00.  The machine can print, but no copying or scanning.  I followed the directions, powering off and then back on, but that doesn't work.  I don't know what to do.

 

I really hope someone can help us with this problem.

WC7970 Workflow scanner setup - getting login failure

I'm trying to setup workflow scanner to scan to network folders.  I keep getting login failure.

I setup ldap and a user id (scanner admin) to login.  I took the settings/setup from the working printer.  This is new for me to setup workflow scanner on this Xerox printer.  Can you anyone tell me where to check or how to setup the scanner.  I have the printer admin document open and follow the instructions, but I'm getting no where.  Please help.

7830i poor quality when copying

Hello,

 

We have 2 new devices of type 7830i.
The problem is the poor quality when copying. Are there any options for setting? Reduce compression, increase resolution?

Firmware: 073.010.136.34300. Installed: 2017 Februar 16 — 10:41:57

 

Our old WC7232 has a better quality when copying.

I am getting an invalid host name error when scanning on WorkCentre 7225.  How to I reset the name that appears on the device as the machine name.  Should it be a 15-digit binary number.  Is it automatically captured thru DNS?

Hi

I have window 7 pro computer and connected to printer through network.
I have Xerox WorkCentre 6605. It is connected to my network.
I download latest Scanner and Printer drivers and installed it.

I am getting connection to the printer and I can print.

I can only see printer functionality and I can print test page.

But for some reason, I can't see any place to scan documents from my computer.

 

When I click on this icon from Control Panel / Hardware and Sound / Devices and Printers/ Xerox WorkCentre 6605DN PCL6.

I don't any place to scan document.

Please can some advice what I am going wrong,

versalink / altalink scan repository

hi 

 

started playing with the versalink machines

but i am unable to find a scan repository setup where you can define an SMB or FTP, like on connectkey

 

so you can make templates based on that repository

 

now it seems on altalink you need to create templates in the addressbook, but every time you need to enter the smb stuff again ?

am i missing something? :-)

Versalink b405 scanning problem

I am unable to access the scanner on my Versalink B405. The printer is connected directly to the Windows 7 by USB. I am able to print with no problem,but the scanner software does not seem to install at all. I have tried to install the scanner by the disk,downloading the instealler from the web, and having windows try and find it. I am able to scan to a flash drive so the scanner does appear to be working.

Workcentre 7545 Scanning - Login Error after Firmware Update

Hello,

 

My machine (Workcentre 7545) was running fine, but I noticed that there was a new Firmware update (Feb 2017 file).  I recently upgraded the firmware, and after the update, my scan to folder has stopped working.  When I go to Job Status, the error is "The job was deleted due to login error".  The settings are the same as it was before the update, so not sure why it stopped working.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!
