WorkCentre 6515 scan, fax doesn't work

Windows 10 computer

 

New Workcentre 6515 as of two weeks ago.  Install default software. 

 

Printer part works.  Scan doesn't.  Windows does not like the TWAIN driver.  Forced to use WIA.  Trying to use Adobe Acrobate to scan as the application to scan into.  It hangs with the TWAIN driver.  WIA driver will ONLY accept ONE sheet to scan from either the flatbed or the sheet feeder.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

 

Second issue.

 

Part of the fix is to update the driver to V4.  So when you do this, the Xerox Print Experience app crashes and shows nothing.  You LOSE functionality to fax from the desktop through the printer and the driver functions like a degraded driver using older-looking interface.  And this is a new driver???  I am baffled. 

 

Open to any ideas.  I really need the scanner to work with multiple documents or will be switching to Fujitsu very soon.  Missing my HP but there was no WIn10 driver for an older printer.

 

REALLY BEGINNING TO LOSS PATIENTS ON THIS PRINTER.

 I got this issue from my customer stating that in the middle of a job(scanning via smb) machine suddenly shuts down and spits out the attached error message. 

Note this happens when she is doing loads of scanning.

Xerox work Centre enlarges all copies

Good Morning

 

I am having a problem with a Xerox Workcentre 3210. Every time i make a copy orprint from USB ha;f the document will be enlarged while the bottom half has the correct output. I have attempted afirmware upgrade and still have the sam e problem  Would really appreciate any help

When scanning to email a message is displayed on the screen.  It states:

Job Paused by device

Current job settings have caused the device to reach a memory threshold

Resume scanning will ignore this warning for the current job

Performance may be impacted if scanning more than 25 2 sided originals

Jobs may be lost is scanning more than 848 2 sided originals

Cancel scanning and adjusting resolution or compression quality settings may reduce file size and resolve the problem.

 

The user can press resume scanning or cancel scanning. 

 

The resolution for the scans is set at 200 dpi, and the compression is mid level. 

 

What can I do to get rid of this message?  I just started happening this week. 

scan to home using ldap query on 7855i

A customer set up scan to home and is using ldap to query.But gets the attached error when he scans. Also when he uses the no- ldap query it works but dumps the scan to a general folder instead of individual persons folder which is the intent.We have done a software upgrade to the latest spftware but still same error.

Any takes please?

Scanner canceling job with one page left

We are using a 3315 to scan a large load of old case files.  It works great 90% of the time, but once in awhile, it will get to the last page and cancel the entire scan.  We try to make the pile smaller, and it often still does it.  Most of the time it seems to work just fine, but it's happening enough to be a major annoyance.  Are we simply overusing the machine (we currently have someone scanning non-stop for 9 hours or so, per day)  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

WC 7970 Scan to File Share file limitation errors

I have a Xerox WC 7970 that scans to a share on our file server.  Any files larger than 64 Kb in size gives an error message on the copier display of “Deleted: Conflicting Job Settings - Invalid path specified.” Any files smaller than 64Kb are saved to the folder properly.

Workcentre 7435 error 017-714 scan to email Office365

Hello,

 

Getting SSL error above when trying to scan using STARTTLS to Office 365.  Guessing this requires a firmware update, but the one available for download looks too old to be helpful.

 

Any assistance appreciated!

Auto Detect Problem - Xerox 7120 Scan to PC

Hi Community,

 

When We scan to pc A4 document, printer detects it as a A3 Landscape. It detect every document as a A3 Landscape and scan it to PC A3 Landscape. We must select document size manually every time. Auto Detect works well before We dont need to select manually. 

 

Any idea?

DocuMate 152 not recognized by any computer.

I have a DocuMate 152 that is no longer recognized by the computer. 

 

Nothing changed on the computer, but I tried re-installing the drivers anyway, but it didn't make a difference. 

 

The status light is clear (not red or green, not lit up at all) and it is displaying an '8'. I looked up the error code and it said that the paper input tray is not connected properly.  Unattached and reatached the input tray, but no change.  Cleaned the scanner thourougly but, again, no change.

 

I've tried connecting it to different USB ports and to different computers and none of them recognize that anything is even connected. 

 

Is this scanner just dead?

SMTP files size management

I want to know if something wrong with my config.

 

for my 5755, in SMTP files size management, this is my config:

 

maximum message size: 10240 Ko

fragment: 5

maximum job size: 300 000 Ko

Page Boundary

NOte: automatic boundary not working for us, maybe because of my mail server.

 

When i scan 50 pages (there is 5 pages with black/white picture), at 300ppm quality higher.

i received 4 pdf, size of 2-3 Mo (21 pages, 11 pages, 15 pages, 3 pages) 

If i have a 100 pages, i will received many more pdf.

 

Why i received pdf that have 2-3 Mo of size ??  i have set de message size to 10 Mo...  4 files at 3 Mo = 12 Mo, so why not 2 files ??

Hello. I bought a xerox workcenter 5330

, connected on local network and is working fine.

When i try to config a folder for each pc for scaning documents as pdf i cannot find network settings for activate scan to folder like says in administrator guide. How can i do this?

Hello,

Just got my versalink C405DN, i have been able to configure my scan to email,also configured my scan to via the address book.

But i noticed when i go to scan and hit the scan to feature which shows the network it gives error message saying check network connectivity?but everything else is working fine.

Just curious why that network feature keeps failing though?

Scan error on wireless instead of wired network

Good day,

 

My company is using DocuCentre-V C2263,DocuCentre-V 3065, DocuCentre-II 3005 for print and scan. It has a problem when users scan documents by using wireless instead of using wired network (wired network is ok). Wireless and wired network have different vlan ( Wireles IP Add : 10.126.152.x and wired network : 10.126.10.x) Vlans could access earch other. I alreay configured Domain Name to My domain company  and DNS Server but  it doesnt worked. How do I ping to vlans to check on DocuCentre-V C2263 ? I try to connect to it by using ssh but it shows "The remote system refused the connection".

 

Plz help me to fix this problem,

Does anyone know if there's an update out there for the 4250 nd 4265 machines that will update TLS ot higher version than 1.0? I have ne of each of these machines and would like to update to TLS 1.2 or 2.0 if possible. Thanks in advance!

How to get rid of Product Registration popup screen after driver install?

After using the web installer for drivers, a Xerox Product Registration screen pops up.  We do not wish to register it, so we close it, but it will continue popping up throughout the day, and is very annoying.  There does not seem to be any way of getting rid of it.  Any suggestions? 

Can't scan to Windows 10 Share via SMB

4 workstations with Windows 10 Pro.

All had worked.  Now only one works.

I'm the IT tech.  Have checked Port 445 firewall settings, Security and Sharing permissions on the share.

Nothing seems obvious / wrong.

 

What tests / logs / etc. can be used to help with this?

Check ability to scan to file via SMB while running things remotely

I'd like to be able to test scan to file folder when I'm remote.  Obviously I can't load paper to be scanned.

 

Is there a way?
