Setting up C405 scan to pc

Hi,

struggling to set up scanning to my pc, can't work out how to do it. 

Have a VersaLink C405 that I got last week - printing is fine, faxing fine, but cannot scan.

From looking through here, in handbook (not that great imo), and google searches I have tried to make an address book entry for the PC I want to scan to, and a folder that I have shared - is this via the SMB field?

No idea what info needs to be input for it to work though, and can't find any guides that explain this accurately

SOLVED: WorkCentre 3225 will not complete scan to email

We have a WorkCentre 3225 at our store which has the following issue:

  1. Normal scan-to-email procedure (from, to, another address >no)
  2. "Scanning..."
  3. "Another Page?" >No
  4. "Sending..."
  5. "Cancelling"

It is then stuck "cancelling" until the unit is power cycled. While it says "cancelling", it will pull up address book, 'machine status', 'email features', or 'from email', but it won't take any other input or perform any functions until power cycled. Have tried different addressess / different formats, would like any suggestions as to what might cause this.

~EDIT~ SMTP configuration test from browser interface was successful.

 

~EDIT 2~ Disabling Send-To-Self causes an actual clearable error, "Send Error (AUTH)". Not sure how this is possible when auth is successful during SMTP test.

 

~EDIT 3~ Scan-to-Email works for an internal email address as long as send-to-self is disabled. If sending to self is enabled, the printer hangs on "cancelling". I'm going to assume this is not an issue with the Xerox and is instead on our end.

4265 Landscape Stapling

I have a 4265 that will not landscape staple while copying.  The only way to feed docs into the ADF is SEF.  Also, paper can only be loaded in the trays SEF as well.  Say I have an original that is already in landscape format.  I load it face up in the ADF SEF (only way), select staple landscape, and it comes out stapled on the wrong corner.  The only fix we can seem to find is loading the originals FACE DOWN, going in and selecting 2-sided, and landscape staple.  Obviously this many steps isn't going to fly.  I cannot find this issue addressed anywhere in firwmare or SPAR for this device.  I also do not see any landscape staple options in the print driver.  We are using the Global Print Driver PCL6.  Any ideas?

Print and Scan Office 365 Log on to App

I am attempting to setup and use the Print and Scan Office 365 Log on app so that I can test it out before setting it up for other customers.

 

Printer: WC6655i

App Status: Installed

 

I am unable to log onto the app using my Office 365 credentials.

Copy/Printing priority problem Xerox 5230

Hello!

Our Company have a Xerox 5230 and we want ask 1 thing about it.

My workmate started copy 5 page on the printer.
When she get 3 of the 5 page the fourth was from a new printing task what is printed by another workmate. So the printer interrupted the copy task.

How can we make a priority to avoid this problem?

Xerox Workcentre 7845: Stains on the sheets when printing

Hi, how are you,

 

In the office we have a Xerox WorkCentre 7845 printer.

Recently the drum cartridge (Drum Cartridge) 013R00662 was changed, and after that the following problems were presented:

 

1.- The printer started to stain the sheets (footer area) when any document is printed (this problem is presented in Tray 1, Tray 2, Tray 3)

2. When you try to print from Tray 4, the printer emits a hard and loud sound; then reports that the paper is jammed, however, when checking, no jammed paper is found. 

 

I hope you can help me.

C405 Set up scan to email

I need to set up my C405 to scan to email, but I can't seem to get the SMTP info set up properly. Is there anything (or anyone) who ca help me with what goes in the various setup fields (with examples). I assume the information required is similar to setting up SMTP inOutlook or on a phone, but I am having no luck getting it to work and the manual is really not helpful.

C8055 - scan to email test successful but cannot login to smtp server at UI

Hiya.  So I am in EMAIL Setup and setup the following:

SMTP server, SMTP Authentication, Copier email address.  There is no email encryption

I goto the last section and Test configuration to an internal email address (domain of C8055 = domain of end user email).  The test email is successful

 

I walk over to the C8055, and initiate an email from the MFP UI.  I can browse the LDAP and find the same end user, but when I send, the job fails with the following error: Job failed.  No messages were sent,  Could not login to the sending mail server (SMTP).  Check your user name and password provided or contact your System Administrator

 

I've double checked that the IP address of the C8055 is allowed to access/login and send emails with the SMTP server.  I can use webmail, login as the email account given to the MFP, and send an email with attachment, to the end user.

 

Is this a bug?

Dear,

 

i can't no more scn or print with my xeroxworcenter 6605.

 

The scanning lamp just stays on the right side after turn on.

when i try to scan or copy, nothing happen.

 

I can still print from a computer.

But Scan-copy doesn't. The feeder doesn't move also.

 

no error message

Documate 3220 disconnects from USB before scan is complete

I just set up and installed a Documate 3220 and connected it to my Windows 10 Pro system via the supplied USB cable.  Both the native software and the PaperPort originally sees the scanner.  Regardless of what type of scan I ask it to perform, it begins the scan and either just before or right after physically finishes scanning the document, I hear the scaner disconnect from the computer (the USB disconect tone sounds).  A second later, it reconnects (the USB device connected sound plays).  About 15 seconds later, either nothing happens and no PDF (or anything else) is produced, or an error message stated the computer can't communicate with the scanner appears (also, no output is produced).

 

I've tried various different profile settings in the software to no avail.

 

Any ideas?

Docuprint CM305 df jam at duplxer

I have a Docuprint CM305df


When attempting to print double sided, the following occurs.

After selecting '2-sided' in the print dialouge box, the document attempts to print.

The printer prints the latter of the pages first on the paper, the printer then retracts the paper back into the printer (I presume to print the rear face of the page), but then the paper gets jammed in the printer before it can print the other face of the paper.

Its wierd because it has no problems printing the first face, but as soon as it feeds back in automatically it all jams up.

I suspect it i the duplexer issue. How to repair this?

Scann error cannot transfer file to computer.

Model: FujiXerox DocuPrint C3290 FS

 

Problem:

I cannot scan successfully with my fuji xerox printer/scanner device. Other people in the office can scan except me.

 

Printer Display Error:

Network Scan Error
Connection Timeout

Press OK

 

Status Error prompt in printer console using web:
status error:
016-781: Error occurred when connecting to server during file transfer.

 

Looking status error on google say's more about credentials error.

 

I compare directory from a working then try to copy but changed some credentials on me.
Using SMB

 

Any can help. Much appreciated.

workcenter 7970 blurry scans.

We have the xst log turned on in order to track how the scan was created.   When everything goes correclty, we get a doc.xst as defined in the templates.  When we get a blurry scan, we get a scan.xst.   The scan.xst shows a scan of 72dpi.  Of cource, its going to be blurry.

 

Nowhere in any template or default is 72dpi set. Everything is set to 300dpi.

 

any ideas on where i look to solve this?

proccessing took long time then a massege shown states : ( scan time out error...job is cancelled.)

 

please advise.

WorkCentre 7970i randomly copying from wrong tray

Copying sets of documents with auto on and all documents are letter size.  Legal size paper will be pulled randomly for one of the sets.  No apparent reason.  Xerox suggested sensors in paper feed tray were being triggered somehow, so we were cognizant of the sensors and careful.  Still happens.  This has happened consistently with this 7970i copier although it hasn't happened at all on our other two 7970i copiers.  All set up with same clone file.  We've confirmed the paper sizes in the trays.  Any suggestions on what we should look at next?

Hi everybody, I was wondering if the xerox machines would have the posibility to scan directly to a folder in the machine hdd, using something like: "\\machine_ip\scans"
