How to scan to folder on NAS
Hi,
We have just bought a WorkCenter 6515 and are wanting to scan files and save them directly to a folder on a NAS drive. The NAS drive is a Western Digital EX2100.
We have tried to create contacts using Network (SMB) and FTP and neither have worked. We can’t even scan to any of the computers we have because our security software stops the files from getting through.

Paperport software for WorkCentre 3045
Hello all,
A few years ago, one of my users purchase a WorkCentre 3045. It cames with the free version of Paperport software. He use the printer and the software for a few years and likes it. He use computer with windows 7.
Recently, he get a new computer with Windows 10. He can find the original CD with the Paperport installation (the one that came with the printer). Is there an option to get this free version of Paperport. I did some digging and found only a full version of Paperport (the one that you need to pay for it).
Any assistance will be much appreciated.

Scan to email with gmail error 016-764
Hi everyone,
First time post for me. I have no knowlegde of printers and servers and I have tried my best to learn over the last few days.
Problem: I am trying to set-up Scan to Email on my Xerox 3045NI. I am able to print wirelessly from my Macbook . I followed some tips on google. I have created a new gmail account for my printer. I have tried many different ports, 35, 587, 465, 2525 but I get error code 016-764.
I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Am I putting in the right settings? I read a few threads here mentioning something about gmail using SSL/TSL and possibly my printer model not having SSL mode on it because its old.
Any help would be greatly appreicated!

Colorqube 8900 Error code 091-720
This is the first time the printer displays error code that I can't fix. Can't recive or send fax nor print and scan.
Currently is displaying
Ready to scan. Copying and Printing not available.
System Fault. Error code 091-720
What can i do any suggestions.

Re-cfg. SMTP to use O365: Test Cfg. Works but Scan to Email from Machine Does Not Work
Hi:
Using web browser, I re-cfg. the SMTP on this WorkCentre 7530 to use smtp.office365.com on port 25 with Authenticated User and STARTTLS (if available). Test Configuration works but from web browser. However, when users try to scan to email at machine console, machine prints an SMTP Transfer Report showing job failed.
I've also tried on port 587 with same result.
Any insights are greatly appreciated!

PS. I've pasted a screenshot of the SMTP Auth page below. The only way I can get the Test Cfg. to work is if I select Authenticated User in top section, then enter the user's password in lower section since it grays out the password fields in top section. I don't get why it grays out the password fields in top section but I guess it uses the password as entered in bottom section?

Scanning issue
My company resently replaced a workcentre 7235 with a 7835 at a oil well company. Our customer has to scan and copy 11inch circle charts every month (over 200 of them). The 7235 works great at doing this, but the 7835 scans the chart thru so far and stops. At first it was thought that it was jamming but it isn"t. The doc feeder doesn't like the charts. The firmware is up to date.we tried back dating the firmware, but that didn't work either. I've reduced the image to 75% and changed the orginal size to 11x17. These were the settings that was in the wc7235. I'm pretty sure this copier will do what I need it to do, but I 'm not sure of the settings to use. Is their a nvm setting that I need to change, that will tell the doc feeder to scan the chart? Also if you lay the chart on the glass it copies it perfectly no issues, using the reduction size and rrginal size 11x17.

Xerox 7845 printer - paper feeder always jamming
Hello,
Someone accidentally tried to copy a package that was stapled together in the feeder on the top of our Xerox printer. Instead of using the rolling device inside for jams, they pulled the paper out by hand. Now it jams each time someone tries to copy documents through the feeder even though it isn't actually jammed and there isn't anything in the machine. Please help.

Scanning To Windows Networkfolder based on a Form-Nr.?
Hello, I would like to ask what the easiest solution for my problem is:
We would like to scan different papers an send them to a specific network folder (specific customer) based on a form-Nr. and Customer-Name:
Is it possible to use QR-Codes on the forms we scan and save them in the correct folder based on the QR-Code?
Is it possible to change the name of the scanned dokument and save them in a specific folder?

Fiery_Colorcal Job template missing from Network Scanning
I'm trying to perform a color calibration using the Colorcal measurement method, however when I follow the steps until I'm required to scan the calibration page through network scanning, the Fiery_Colorcal template I'm required to use does not appear. The only option I have is the Default template. When I select the option to update the templates, a message will tell me that the template list did not update. My workplace are very strict on Internet access, could this have an impact on the printers ability to retrieve job templates?

Scan to Email
I am trying to setup scan to email. In the SMTP setting part where the SMTP Server then Server Address. I click on it and it said select server from list, no way enter by keyboard. II just got this printer new last week and it's runnung the newest firmware.

Scan to Folder entries now showing in address book
I have an AltaLink C8055 and the scan to folder entries in the address book have quit showing up on the copier. They should up in the web interface, I can add new ones and delete old ones, but they don't show up on the copier itself.

Firmware upgrade to 53.33.62

I have some problems with scan to PC, and sugested solution is to upgrade firmware to ver 53.33.62 or higher.

Scanning to network on C405 generates xsm folder
I need to scan a number of pictures as pdf's. I can easily set up SMB folder to scan to on a network drive from a Versalink C405.
My problem is that an xsm folder is created on the network drive which contains the scan. This is highly inconvenient for hundreds of scans.
I have researched this and noted comments from experts here that "this is normal for single page tiffs etc". My issue is that I have been scanning documents and photos for several years and this has not happened. I can upload screenshots showing all the pdfs/tifs in a single scanning folder. The change only occurred last week, and immediately after I scanned a photo as a pdf, and then rescanned as a tiff.
I have searched widely and tried all settings in internet services but cannot revert to the previous scanning process. I have scanned as pdf's and tiff's and updated the firmware today to the latest version.
I would accept this if I was advised for the first time that this is the way the software is expected to work, however II have been scanning direct to the root folder for 3 years. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Received Fax to default to 8.5x11 Inches media instead of A4
I have a fax machine configured and set up correctly.
The thing I want to do is to configure the fax machine to print on 8.5x11 Inches media instead of any other types of media (i.e. a4). Today my agency received 190 pages of A4 faxes. Unfortunately we cannot keep different types of paper on hand other that 8.5x11. The workaround I did was waiting until the Xerox jammed on the smaller media, pulled the page out as dictated by the manual, waited until the Xerox realized the media it was printing on is too small, opening and closing the drawer, rinse and repeat.
Any solutions?

Fleet Orchestrator Clone File Include passwords
Hello,
We have 4 Xerox AltaLink multifunction printers. For ease of administration we would like to share the address book between these printers and any future printers.
We use the same scan user account and password within each user's SMB scanning setup.
I am looking for a way to create a clone file which includes the user passwords for the SMB scans. Currently it appears to not save the password. This creates problems as it overwrites the password to a blank password every time the clone file pushes out, and then users are unable to scan until I manually put the passwords back in or re-import the file containing the password for each user field.
It seems like there should be more granularity when creating the clone file. Has anyone else accomplished this?

Please help! I need 3315 Control Dial Settings/Defaults
Hello. I just purchased a Xerox DocuMate 3115 scanner to work on a scanning recipes for a heritage cookbook project. I have primarily been trying to customize/edit the setting in the OneTouch software for this purpose, but would love to use the control dial for quick scanning. Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere online or in the materials which settings are associated with each of the settings on the control dial. Can someone please point me in the right direction or provide this information? Thanks in advance for any assistance!

After installation no software is found and nothing o xerox website. OS is W7 x64 and W10 x64 with the machine connected through wireless.
