I am trying to configure my C3290FS to scan to a SMBv1 public/anonymous file share hosted on an appliance.
I am receiving error 016-782 (login error) at the console when attempting to scan.
This makes no sense as login is not required for this share.

We currently have numerous Xerox AltaLink C8045's deployed at several locations in our Organization. It has come to our attention that when using th ID Card Copy App that comes installed, it defaults to to envelope tray 1. All of our C8045 come with Tray one as Envelope.
My question is how can we set this to default to another tray without having to always select the paper from the drop down everytime a ID is going to be copied.
I am trying to setup Scan to email and am getting error 17-772 and cannot find anything on this errot. I am trying to use the Spectrum ISP SMTP. Tried port 993 and 587 with SSL on mail.brighthouse.com.
I have downloaded and installed the latest Xerox drivers for Catalina 10.15 - February 24, 2020. Scanning still does not work. The scanning process works fine (I can see the scanned picture), then at the end an error appears - "Scanner reported an error." Directly below it - "An error occurred during scanning." Has anyone else seen this?
FYI, I have rebooted both my printer and my Mac, to no avail.

I have this set up and working to scan to contact as a pdf, but by default it is creating a subfolder for each scan. I found the setting before and shut if off for each user, but I have created a new user and I can't remember where the setting is.

I am facing an issue with 2 VersaLink C7030 devices. issue connecting to internet
Device A : There are 3 devices connected to the same customer network (Versalink C7030, Versalink B7025 and WorkCenter 6515). The 6515 and B7025 is able to connect to internet and send cloud email but C7030 with similar config fail to send email and connect to xerox app gallery. Device reset done, altboot done but issue remains. We remove teh device from customer network, used 4G router but still refuse to connect to internet
Device B : VersaLink C7030 - Different customer
1. For xerox smart e-solution it says no communication with server.
2. When connecting xerox cloud apps it says no internet connection available.
3. When connecting smtp.gmail.com for customer email requirement it says dns server un-sets up in SMTP(016-772)

Originally didn't have the scan in the app. Uninstalled and installed and it showed up in print experience app. Lost it a month later and then it showed up. It's gone again. I have uninstalled and installed everything I know to do and at a loss. Never in my life been so disgusted with a printer. Mainly purchased for "scan to my PC". How difficult could that be. I am no way a computer guru. I just want to put 15 pages in the top feeder and scan them to a PDF on my PC. The scan feature keeps disappearing in the Xerox print Experience app page. I purchased Xerox thinking they have there act together as a simple " down load software and go" small business owner doing real estate. I so need this scan to pc. Sickening.

Scan to Pc problems with Windows 10
I have a DocuCentre-IV C2263 and are trying to setup the Scan to PC option connecting to a Windows 10 TCP/IP DHCP Workgroup.
I have shared all my computers with a "Custom Workgroup Name" and can connect ok from any of the computers to any of the other computers no problem on the Workgroup So the pc's file sharing is working ok.
I tried setting up the Scan to PC Address book option in the Xerox glass display and pressed "Browse" to find network shared computers, but after a long delay connecting... i get the error "Network Connection Failed" all the time. Error 018-755
I have rebooted the Xerox machine and rebooted all my workgroup Win 10 pc's and still get this error on the Xerox ?
I can however print ok to the Xerox printer, but just cannot find any computers to scan to from the Xerox printer.
I have reset the Windows default Firewalls on all the computer and still the same problem so nothing to do with that.
Is the browse button not finding any pc's because eg: My workgroup name is not workgroup ? My workgroup name is another custom name.
I have mixed Windows 10 V1909 and V2004 pc's.
Looking around the internet some peeps reckon that i have to use a eg; Certain Port in the Address book entry for Windows 10 ?

I would like to submit a FER for a Primelink b9100 we are not able to scan a new copy job while the current copy job or print job is printing. Is there a software or spar that can do this?

I'm able to save contact from the local AddressBook to the favorites but I'm unable to add a contact to the favorites from the Network Address Book.
I can find the contact from the network addressbook and send scans but there is no "star" icon to add it to the favorites.

Issue with B405 MFC printers.
Have it configured and working correctly with LDAP, however when a user searches for another user, it sometimes will show users with multiple duplicate names (some users have different emails). Is there a way for the console to display not only the first and last name, but also the email address along with it, so the user chooses the correct one.
I know on our Altalink copiers, users can perform a search and it will show them first and last name, along with email address, so theres no confusion if they chose the correct one.
I have a multifunction printer I have used for several years and am generally very happy with it. It's capabilities exceed my needs, but one thing I had set up and did use regularly was scan to email. The same email address I had set up specifically to work with this system cannot be used by the 6605. Further investigation suggests that it cannot locate the server. I have been working with my hosting company, and through tests we can see that the printer does not actually reach the account or start the negotiation. Why it has suddenly stopped is unclear. It does correctly locate the SMTP server.

The device is discoverable on my network, and is used by multiple devices, so DHCP is working. However I am very suspicious of the value Unknown coming up beside DNS in the top left of the CentreWare screen. If the printer is unable to access a DNS server then it will not be able to resolve domain names. I do not have any other examples of where the printer needs to access anything externally. I have no other symptoms why it is not working.
It is connected to a router, and the entry for DNS in the TCP/IP page is set to Obtain DNS server address automatically. Even when I manually place a DNS server address in that field the field the section in the top left of the CentreWare web page does not change from: DNS: Unknown.
I note that a few other people have reported similar problems (cannot scan to email) but there is no clear answer. I have reset my network settings, which was one of the potential solutions, no change.
The gateway has DNS set up otherwise my computer would not be working, and I could not access the internet.
Any help or guidance appreciated. Particularly if this is somehow related to the SHA2 security messages all of the support threads point to. However in that case as far as I can see it is connecting to Xerox servers and is specifically related to metering and ordering of consumables. In my case I am not using this area at all, and although following the support threads keep leading me to the same area, I do not think it is relevant to this case.
I would like to setup a Single Touch button or a function/workflow that will do a scan to email with a customized text in the email and then I've to select only the sender.
I've look into SingleTocuh App but this allow me only scan to folder option

I have multiple AltaLink C8045 deployed utilizing Cisco ATA 191 for faxing connected to the same Cisco Call Manager utilizing the same PSTN trunk and ATAs are configured exactly the same. Some of my machines have no problem sending and receiving faxes, but others are only able to receive. Machines with problem can dial the number no problem, make the connection, but then the machine pauses several times for a few minutes and then the job fails. Also, this is all when sending to the same fax number as I've tried to standardize everything for testing and troubleshooting.
I've gone through the support forum and read every article related to this issue and have turned the volume up to max on outgoing faxes and there is no audible difference. I've even put a test set inline between the machine and ATA and monitored and there is no audible difference between sending and receiving. I've been unable to locate any setting to change baud rate and/or disable ECM or even verify what those settings are. We've had several technicians out and they have done nothing except lay blame to the phone line, however I can connect any other fax machine to the line and not have any issues.
I'm not sure what else to look at and wanted to throw this out here to see if anyone has expereinced this and has been able to resolve.
We haven't made any settings changes to our Xerox devices in years. Scans sent to emails aren't working all of a sudden. No error messages and the machine is showing them as sent successfully - though nothing arrives. I have tried multiple times with organization addresses as well as a personal one - nadda. I checked the device settings and nothing has changed - IP's are going to the right places. Everything network related looks fine in the web portal. Have done several reboots also. Advice? Thank you.
We have a Versalink c405dn. Currently, faxes just print out when they are received. Is there a way to send faxes to a folder/file? We have scan to a folder set up already. I checked the support page and it says there is supposed to be a Fax Forwarding option in the fax settings by going to Device>Apps>Fax>faxforwarding. This setting is not there. Does this unit support Fax Forwarding and is there a way to enable it? The printer is up to date.
